What matters to you

A convincing start-up project needs realistic assumptions on revenue, costs and capital requirements. We work out with you when the business will become self-sustaining and what reserves are needed for the start-up phase.

We support founders in South Tyrol in calculating their plans realistically, finding the right financing and steering the business through the early stages with clear figures. We also deal with the tax and legal questions of setting up at the same time.

The business plan as a basis for decisions

A business plan makes your assumptions transparent: who buys your offering, what prices are realistic and when will revenue cover costs? It supports your own decision-making and your discussions with banks, investors and funding bodies.

We work with you on a plan based on transparent assumptions. It includes a projected balance sheet and profit and loss account for several years, an investment plan and a monthly cash-flow plan for the start-up phase.

Legal form and framework conditions

The choice between sole proprietorship, partnership and a corporation such as the S.r.l. affects liability, tax burden, social security contributions and financing options. We compare the options based on your projected figures rather than rules of thumb.

For innovative ventures, registering as an innovative start-up (startup innovativa) in the special section of the Business Register can be worthwhile, as it brings various benefits. We check with you whether the requirements are met and whether the effort pays off.

Financing and grants

Most start-ups are financed through a combination of equity, bank loans and grants. Besides the business plan, banks focus mainly on own funds and collateral. State guarantees such as the guarantee fund for small and medium-sized enterprises (Fondo di Garanzia per le PMI) or guarantees from loan guarantee cooperatives (Confidi) can partly replace missing collateral.

The Autonomous Province of Bolzano and other bodies offer funding programmes for start-ups and investments. The conditions change frequently, and many grants must be applied for before the investment begins. That is why we check early on which programmes may apply.

Managing the first years

After formation, it becomes clear whether the assumptions hold. We regularly compare planned and actual figures, keep an eye on liquidity, receivables and tax payments, and alert you early to any deviations. Tax prepayments and social security contributions in particular are often underestimated in the early stages.

Clear reports show how your business is performing against plan. In the event of growth or major deviations, we review financing, legal form and next steps together with you.

Can’t find your question?+39 0473 200 852
Do I need a business plan if I am not taking out a loan?

A plan makes sense even without bank financing. It shows how much capital you actually need, when you can expect to make a profit and how long your reserves will last. Many funding bodies require one anyway.

How much equity should I contribute?

There is no fixed ratio; it depends on the industry, investment needs and risk. However, banks usually expect a significant personal contribution. Using the plan, we work out with you what funds are needed and how any gap can be closed.

When do I need to apply for grants?

For many funding programmes, the application must be submitted before the project starts or before a binding order is placed. Which expenses are then eligible depends on the programme. Have the conditions checked before signing any contract.

What is the most common mistake in the first few years?

Profit is often equated with available cash. However, taxes, social contributions, loan repayments and outstanding customer receivables affect the bank balance in different ways. Cash flow planning makes the actual financing requirement visible.

How can we help you?

In the initial meeting, we clarify your request and discuss what support you need.
